Wipro was okay company. They used to be near MG road, but now they are in jokers’s paradise in madivala. I worked for them in 98 time frame. Life was good back then. They were not paying a whole lot. I would definitely recommend them as company that you could go if you want to get your foot in IT world.

Coming back to wipro, I think they are probably not as good as infosys, but not too bad either. Also they did not give much hard time, when I was leaving the company. I still rememeber those days when someone came to your cube to offer tea. Compared to that work life in US is very boring.
Work quality depended on which group you were in. If you worked in good groups you could get to do good work like unix internals etc, or you could end up doing some GUI programming.
